About Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine

Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine is dedicated to empowering community members with the healthy balance of mind, body and spirit by way of integrative health initiatives, wellness education and fun, free local events. Our mission is to help every family cultivate long-term behaviors that will foster longer lives and happiness for a lifetime.

Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine has developed a comprehensive health and wellness program focused on our Five Pillars of Health and Wellness: sleep, activity, purpose, nutrition and resilience. 

We will provide a completely customized health plan that addresses all of your current health needs, concerns and goals for improved health and quality of life. Although we are not your primary care providers, it is our goal to support and partner with your primary care provider to coordinate your health care to ensure optimal health and wellness.

Our Five Pillars of Health and Wellness

Sleep IconSleep: Quality and quantity of sleep are essential for the body and brain to heal, repair, and prepare for the day ahead. Sleep, like nutrition and physical activity, is critical to overall health and wellness. In fact, untreated sleeping disorders and inadequate sleep can lead to chronic illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes.

Activity IconActivity: Physical activity is fundamental to the circulatory and respiratory systems as well as for muscle function and bone strength. Physical activity also produces bio-chemicals such as endorphins that promote positive emotions and brain functions.

Purpose IconPurpose: A sense of purpose gives meaning to one’s life. This might be the role one plays in their family, at work, or in the community. It is through a defined purpose which we find and develop our personal strength.

Nutrition IconNutrition: Understanding that food is the fuel by which our mind and body function allows us to recognize nutrition as imperative to health and well being. Assessing an individual’s lifestyle and knowledge as it relates to food sources, meal planning and preparation is essential to nourishment and the ability of the body and mind to sustain health through life’s challenges.

Resilience IconResilience: The ability to “bounce back” and adapt to adversity is known as resilience. Life is full of stressors - including family, friends, work, environment, health, and finances. Stress is a part of life. However, when one becomes aware of life's stressors and develops skills to respond to stress, they are better able to adapt and thrive versus survive.
